At the Aug. 3, 12 -12:45 p.m. virtual event, Erika Coveny and Phil Lou of the Washington State University (WSU) Energy Program will talk about funding that is available for solar and solar + storage projects.

Washington State renewables incentive programs, historically, have been overwhelmingly out of reach for low-income residents. In an effort to expand participation opportunities, effectively and equitably, legislation was passed in 2022.

House Bill 1814 directs the WSU Energy Program to implement and administer a 10 year/$100 million community solar incentive program for the development of projects that specifically benefit the low-income sector. A brief slide show will provide the funding outline, timetable and other pertinent information for submitting a project application.

There will be a brief question and answer period at the end of the presentation.

Please RSVP here and Rebecca Sayre (rebecca@waseia.org) will send you and invite via Google Meet.
