About WASEIA
We are a professional trade association established to be a unified voice for the common business interests of its members, particularly related to public policy, legislation, and governmental relations.
WASEIA educates legislators and regulators while promoting public understanding about the impacts of policies related to solar energy in the State of Washington.
Understanding the Value of Solar + Storage
Washington’s Value of Solar and Storage (VOSS) study is underway — a crucial effort to define what local solar and batteries are truly worth to our grid and communities. As this work moves forward, utilities are beginning to propose changes to net metering, the policy that ensures fair credit for the clean energy solar customers provide.
Now is the time to act. Premature changes from a Washington Utility could undermine years of progress and threaten affordable, equitable access to solar power across the state.
Support the Washington Battery Incentive Bill (SB 6008)
Every Washingtonian deserves access to resilient, affordable energy. SB 6008 removes the cost barrier for home batteries, offering up to $13,800 in incentives to help families stay powered during outages while strengthening our local grid.
Join WASEIA in advocating for the passage of this landmark legislation to ensure equitable access to clean energy storage.
