Eric is the General Manager and Director of Operations for Bellingham based Western Solar. He entered the solar industry 13 years ago when he joined forces with Western Solar. At the time, he was operating his electrical contracting business, Northstar Electrical Services. He has consistently played a critical role in the growth and development at Western Solar. Eric has had close ties to the construction industry throughout his career. He was initially trained as a union carpenter serving 12 years in the trade before moving into the electrical field where he served a 4-year apprenticeship and worked as a commercial electrician with the IBEW. Eric was an active participant with the union leadership team and the NWJATC where he taught one of the first union renewable energy classes offered. Recently he was appointed to the Electrical Advisory Committee at Bellingham Technical College.
